Guidelines to Serve in A Worship Service

Introduction

Worship is an encounter with God, Almighty. We give Him praises, adoration and sacrifice He, Alone deserves. Through worship, we surrender ourselves to Him and give Him the Lordship in our lives.

The worship leader and team prepare and lead the congregation to meet God and hear His Word. And the congregation could worship God in Truth & Spirit (John 4:24). It is an important and significant service.

Worship

(OT) 2 Chronicles 7: 1-3 (Glory of God fills the temple)

(NT) Revelation 4: 8- 11 (The Throne in Heaven. Worship Jesus Christ)

Key Pointers to take note:

(I) Liturgist:

  1. Prepare your heart to lead as liturgist. Keep yourself in a prayerful spirit.
  2. Be familiar with the flow of the order; communicate with Pastor and Song leaders regarding any special item or announcement.
  3. Ensure offering bags is in place for the offertory.
  4. Lead and give clear instruction to the congregation.

(II) PA personnel:

  1. Set up the PA system and be present & ready to operate the system before the Service.
  2. Ensure all the ppt content, such order of service, songs, sermon content, announcements downloaded and ready for presentation.
  3. Be alert at all time & respond appropriately to the flow of the service presentation.
  4. After the Service, ensure the PA system is completely closed and the counter is neatly packed before leaving.

(III) OHP personnel:

  1. Set up the OHP system and be present & ready to operate the system before the Service.
  2. Ensure all the content, such as songs & announcements ready for presentation.
  3. Be alert at all time & respond appropriately to the flow of the service presentation.
  4. After the Service, ensure the OHP system is completely close and it is neatly packed before leaving

(IV) Song leaders, support singers, pianists & music team

  1. The Worship Team must pray before choosing songs.
  2. The song selected preferably would be aligned with the sermon theme.
  3. The full team must practice and have a full rehearsal of the songs at least one or two times.
  4. The week before the Service, team members could run through the songs in their hearts and allow God to speak to them through the songs.

General points for All service personnel

  1. Must be a worshipper in our daily personal life.
  2. Get yourself ready and fresh physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually.
  3. Get sufficient sleep the night before Sunday; sleep early.
  4. Dress smart – Neat, tidy and clean. General slightly more formal than the congregation.
  5. After the service, pray and give all glory to God.

Prayer Time: All service personnel attend the prayer time, 10 am for co-operating prayer to prepare themselves for God’s service. Give your best to the Master.

崇拜侍奉人员指南

主日崇拜是一个和全能神相遇的过程。我们献上赞美，崇拜，并献祭给独一配得的神。通过敬拜，我们降服在神之下，把我们生命的主权交给祂。崇拜的领会和小组成员预备，并领导会众与神相遇，聆听神的话。会众因而用心灵和诚实敬拜神（约翰福音4：24）。主日崇拜是一个重要，意义深远的礼拜。

崇拜的意义
（旧约）历代志下7：1-3 （神的荣光充满了殿）
（新约）启示录4：8-11 （宝座在天上。敬拜耶稣基督）

要点须知

  • 领会
    1. 领会预备心来带领会众，在祷告的灵中保守自己。
    2. 熟悉崇拜的过程；同牧者与领唱交流任何特殊的事项，或是报告。
    3. 确保奉献袋放置在奉献台上。
    4. 带领，清晰的指示会众。
  • 音响人员 （PA）
    1. 在崇拜前设置音响系统，准时来到，预备使用音响。
    2. 确保一切的放映内容，包括崇拜顺序，诗歌，讲道，报告等。
    3. 随时警醒，跟着崇拜的流程来回应。
    4. 崇拜后，确保音响系统完全关闭，离开前整洁置放音响操作台。
  • OHP 人员
    1. 在崇拜前设OHP系统，准时来到，预备使用OHP。
    2. 确保一切的放映内容，包括诗歌/ 报告等。
    3. 随时警醒，跟着崇拜的流程来回应。
    4. 崇拜后，确保OHP完全关闭，离开前整洁置放。
  • 领唱，助唱，司琴以及音乐崇拜团队
    1. 音乐崇拜小组在选择诗歌前须祷告。
    2. 拣选与正道主题相配合的诗歌。
    3. 所有音乐小组成员须有至少一到两次的排练和完整的诗歌彩排。
    4. 崇拜前的一周内，音乐小组成员可以在心中回想诗歌，让神通过诗歌对他们说话。

所有侍奉人员须知

  1. 在日常生活中须是一个敬拜者。
  2. 预备自己在外表上，情绪上，思想上，并在灵里更新自己。
  3. 崇拜前的晚上有充分的睡眠。
  4. 合宜的着装 – 整洁，干净。比会众稍正式的着装。
  5. 崇拜过后，祷告，把荣耀归于神。

祷告时间：所有崇拜侍奉人员参与祷告时间，10点整开始联合的祷告，预备自己来服侍神。把最好的献给主。
